UK PR people on Twitter

{ Tags: , \ Nov10 }

Following on from last week’s UK journalists on Twitter (jeeple?) post, I thought it would be good to do something similar with UK based PR people (preeple?). Listed below you’ll see tweeters from some familiar PR agencies and in-house PR departments. I haven’t included people who haven’t updated their profile in a month or longer as it’s likely that they’ve given up on it.

By no means is this a comprehensive list and I hope you can give me a heads up in the comments section if I’ve missed anybody out. The ‘Other’ section is for PR people who seem to be the sole Twitter representative for the company they work for. If this isn’t the case and there are two or more I’ll put them in their own category. So get following! And while you’re here, why don’t you:

Add Me To Twitter

Update: Michael Litman has created a league table based on tweeter numbers.

Update 2: My mate Stephen Waddington (@wadds) has created a list of the top 50 influential PReeple according to Twitter Grader.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————
FINAL UPDATE – The list on this blog post will no longer be updated. Comments are now turned off. Do not fret though – there is a dedicated wiki to add your Twitter profile which is being maintained by Michael Litman. Fine it here: http://ukmediatweeple.pbwiki.com/

    Justin

    Thanks for the add Steve… Reminded me of your initial opion on Twitter: http://www.prblogger.com/2007/03/twitter-i-dont-get-it/

    Did chuckle, but as you said in a later post it’s sometimes not until you use things for a while that you really see the benefits. With Twitter it’s actually something that gets better the more people you have doing it – i.e. it’s only as good as the community it connects. As this post shows there’s now a really healthy pr/media community tweeting away.

    Just to add my thanks to the list – thanks for pointing out some journalists I wasn’t already following though I can’t help thinking that the contacts on my Twitter are now less exclusive – kinda like taking the doorman off swanky club and letting anyone in…!

    I’ve (@davidatquestpr) found Twitter really useful both in pitching clients and forging links with useful freelancers – though the downside is that you sometimes have to wade through people’s breakfast, lunch and dinner menu to get to the interesting stuff.
