Delighted to say I’ve been invited along to a new media discussion held by UK TV broadcaster, ITV, tomorrow at the Hellenic Centre on Paddington Street. Really looking forward to it and I’m in some very esteemed company. Those attending are Nick Adams, group account director of Mindshare; Simon Gunning, director of entertainment at Yahoo! Europe; brilliant writer, journalist and photographer, Ben Hammersley; Media Guardian reporter, Jermima Kiss; music and media futurist, Gerd Leonhart; virtual world expert, Dr Jim Purbeck (aka Babbage Linden in Second Life) and a number of ITV’s marketing and communications staff.
Topics discussed include:
* The digital landscape and what it means for TV
* How to utilise online communities
* The art of blogging and understanding the blogging community
* Creating marketing opportunities with virtual worlds
* Digital innovation and its relevance to TV
As you can see there’s some very interesting topics being discussed so no doubt it’ll be a learning experience for all in attendance. I’ll be live blogging the conference so stay tuned for some posts tomorrow. Big thanks to my friend at ITV, Ben Ayers for inviting me along.
