I really do like this idea. Kodak have released the world’s first WI-FI consumer digital camera which will let you instantly email pictures and videos straight to a computer or online photo album. Its storage will hold 1500 photos and its resolution is an ample 4.0 megapixels.

The USP of this particular camera is of course its WI-FI features. Allowing users to send high quality photos via email will certainly be a turn on to moblog fans, citizen journalists and your standard run-of-the-mill geek.

I must admit, being a bit intrigued with the moblog idea, I think it’s great. Standard camera phone quality just doesn’t cut it yet and the need for high quality snaps is there. Until mobile phones start rolling out high-quality cameras, this could be the moblog enthusiast’s choice. Plus, photo sites such as Flickr may begin to add video features enabling a member to email video as they do now with photo. Then all I’d need is someone to build a WordPress plugin to fit!
