No doubt another case study that will be part of PR blogging Power Point presentations around the world.

PriceRightPhoto (website down) recently felt the wrath of an unhappy blogger who went through a bad experience when using their services. Thomas Hawk (pseudo name) was trying to purchase a camera from PriceRightPhoto. The sales rep tried selling him accessories he didn’t want and when he refused them, the sales rep told him that the camera was out of stock.

This led to a heated phone argument leading Hawk to say he would write an article on the whole affair. He posted on his blog, Digital Connection and also mentioned that he’d found them on Yahoo! Shopping and Price Grabber. He also posted a link on Digg.com where it escalated from there.

Within days the site was delisted from Yahoo! Shopping, the business received thousands of prank calls and the manager, Howard Baker claims that they were attacked with viruses. Barker said:

“In the last couple of days there was one disgruntled customer that posted a blog that caused thousands of people to come out of the woodwork and jam our Web site.

“They’re basically trying to destroy our business in our busiest month, and they have.”
